About

Conceived in Lagos, for the hours the grid isn’t there.

ONÉA starts from a simple observation: the businesses that keep a street alive are the ones least able to stop when the power does.

An aerial view across Lagos, Nigeria, with buildings, tree-lined streets and the ocean on the horizon.

Why a battery should be beautiful

Energy hardware usually arrives as a grey box, a noisy generator or a tangle of cables behind the counter. It works, mostly, and nobody wants to look at it.

ONÉA imagines the opposite: a system calm enough to hang in the shop, clear enough to read at a glance, and modular enough to grow with the business. One module to begin, four when you need them.

What we care about

  1. 01

    Continuity

A day of trade shouldn’t depend on the grid having a good day.

  2. 02

    Everyday resilience

Designed for bakeries and salons, not data centres.

  3. 03

    Thoughtful hardware

Quiet surfaces, readable light, nothing that needs explaining.

  4. 04

    Human-centred technology

The app is there when you need it and silent when you don’t.

The approach

Designed to stay out of the way.

Install it once and stop thinking about it: quiet hardware on the wall, one calm app, and a single green light that tells you everything is working. The rest of the time, ONÉA stays out of the way.
